Creating a Repository

Set up a repository for your project or content.

In Content Lion, repositories are structured storage areas used to organize, manage, and publish content items (structured data) and digital assets such as images, videos, and documents. Repositories help organizations separate content by purpose, team, brand, or project.

Steps for Creating a New Repository

Step 1: Navigate to the Repositories page

From the Content Tab, click on the dropdown and select Repositories.

Step 2: Click the Create button and configure repository properties

The following properties are required for creation:

  • Name - the display name for your repo
  • Asset Types - definition or schema for a structured pieces of content. Image, File, and Video are selected by default
 

The following properties are optional properties that can be configured at creation or any time afterwards:

  • Description - description of the repository
  • Publishing Channels - delivery mechanism that controls where and how content is published and made available
  • Taxonomies - classification systems used to organized content

Step 3: Save the repository

Click Save to save your changes and exit the screen. The repository can now be used to store content!
