Adding a Custom Vanity to Your Site
Make your site easily recognizable.
A vanity domain is a custom domain name that replaces the default Content Lion service URL. Configuring a vanity domain improves the branding, usability, and trust for end users of your sites.
Content Lion provides end-to-end automated management of the certificate lifecycle. After initial configuration, certificates are automatically issued, renewed, and rotated by the platform.
Configuring a Vanity Domain in Content Lion
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that:
- You own or control the custom domain name
- You have access to the domain’s DCS configuration page
Step 1: Bring the Content Lion Site Online
Click the Site Online / Offline (power) button and select Use my own domain
Step 2: Add the Custom Domain with a Site
Under Custom domain, specify the domain you want to use and click Bring Online
Step 3: Configure DNS Settings for the Vanity Domain
You will be presented with a screen displaying the record details. Go to your domain provider or registrar's DNS management page and add the specified CNAME record name and CNAME record value.
DNS propagation may take up to 48 hours to complete. Your site may appear offline during this time
